You might’ve seen Miracle Mile native Noah Ciccel share stages with acts like Mk.gee, Tame Impala, Jamie xx, and The Dare, or heard the new EP from his duo 2D0GS via Dirty Hit’s dh2 imprint. As SEES00000, the producer and DJ’s forward-thinking electronic music lacks pretension. He’s got a keen understanding of how a night should play out. Even his least danceable tracks have an immediate quality, compelling the toughest LA critics to get their bodies moving. We shot him some questions about song titles, supper club, and his dream set. How was your show with Project Pat?

Walk us through your dream DJ set—where are you playing? What time is it? How many genres are in the mix? Are you spinning your own tracks?

5:00 p.m. PST inside the Sister Dreamer Sculpture Park by Lauren Halsey, off 76th and Western. Playing Miracle-Tech, Dog House, and P-Funk exclusively. 

If you were stranded on a deserted island, and could only take three pieces of gear, what are you bringing?

Ok, survival gear im goin: generator, mid-size utility knife, nutribullet. Music: sampler, Abelton, bongos.

You just put out a mixtape called SOMEONE TOLD ME THE HEAVENS WERE FOR SALE. If the heavens were for sale, what would you offer?

All I possess, all the materials. 

Your duo 2D0GS is signed to George Daniel’s dh2. What do you get emotionally or creatively from the duo that you don’t get from working solo?

There’s a sense of knowing that happens when making things with 2D0GS that is a little different from SEES. Quick decision making with someone you trust and who also believes in your choices, don’t get no better

Plenty of your song titles have stylistic quirks, from the letter O being replaced with zeroes to acronyms to text-based emoticons. How are you landing on these names? Do you just play around until it feels right?

I never try to think when it happens. A lot of the names are taken from real life, like Wi-Fi passwords.

I read that you used to run a supper club—what have you been cooking lately?

Who told you that? Slowly getting back to my seafood ways when I’m back home. It may be time to get Marine Security back for the people. Love to the good people at West Coast Seafood.

As someone from Miracle Mile, do you believe in miracles?

Definitely. Think everyone’s either seen one or experienced one once, don’t lie.
