Any songs I love I want to hear again and again until I die, but if you lived through hardcore in the early 2000s you know why “Firestorm” by Earth Crisis is best rationed.

It’s January. I don’t think a new song has come out yet this year.

 

Best song to listen to in the gym?

“Bottom” by TOOL

Nothing gets you more jacked in the gym than the Henry Rollins spoken word bridge on the TOOL track “Bottom.” NOTHING. He’s literally talking about lifting weights butt naked in the shadows for years, waiting to kill somebody.

Best song to listen to at the bar?

“Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison 

My favorite song to hear with people in public. A few times I’ve heard “Never Scared” by Bone Crusher in the bar and that got me hyped for sure.

Best song that reminds you of being a teenager?

“Cold World” by Cold World 

Keeps me young and strong.
