1. Name: Paulina Lasa aka Amina Cyu

2. Location: Mexico City

3. Can you tell us about this track?

"Regresa" is a work that embodies the desire for genuinely loving encounters and the desire that isolation will never be total and that we continue to expand from within to accommodate the enormous universe outside.

4. What's your process?

I was trained as a pianist so I need there to be some notes and melodic figures to then twist and go deep into experimenting processes of post production.

5. Can you tell us about your scene?

The ambient scene has been growing bigger the last few years. I feel that the pandemic times brought a need for inner peace and introspection in us, so now you can see ambient acts not only in museums or day venues, but also in dance clubs and parties.

6. Who are your biggest influences?

My influences are super random and go from Bach being interpreted by Glenn Gould, to folk music from around the world and contemporary artists like Nils Frahm or Tomoko Sauvage.

7. Who's your favorite artist on Nina?

I dig the works of Dasychira and Turning Torso.

8. Any shoutouts?

I am enjoying Nina Nairobi, a hub that features Kenya's underground electronic artists.
